About the position

The Part-time Controller at Meetcaregivers is responsible for overseeing and managing the financial operations of the company. This role involves preparing and analyzing financial statements, conducting financial forecasting and budgeting, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. The Controller will also manage accounts payable, prepare financial reports for senior management, and collaborate with internal teams to enhance financial processes.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage the financial operations of the company
• Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
• Conduct regular financial forecasting and budgeting
• Ensure compliance with accounting principles and standards, including IFRS
• Perform general ledger accounting and balance sheet reconciliations
• Manage accounts payable and ensure timely payment of invoices
• Prepare and present financial reports to senior management and stakeholders
• Collaborate with internal teams to improve financial processes and controls
• Provide guidance and support to junior accounting staff

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (Master's degree preferred)
• CPA designation is highly desirable
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a senior or managerial position
• Strong knowledge of debits, credits, and general ledger accounting principles
• Proficiency in financial report writing and analysis
• Experience with forecasting and budgeting processes
• Experience with Online QuickBooks
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial data analysis
• Ability to effectively communicate complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders
