About the position

The Part-Time Coordinator II, Outreach at Lone Star College is responsible for facilitating daily operations within the assigned area, focusing on support functions such as scheduling, communications, workflows, and staff support. This role involves coordinating budget planning processes, tracking expenditures, and making process decisions based on best practices to enhance the student experience.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate daily operations of assigned area and maintain records.
  • Act as a point of contact for internal and external customers.
  • Schedule and prioritize work and activities, organizing training materials for staff.
  • Create and submit reports related to assigned area and present findings.
  • Plan, schedule, and coordinate meetings, seminars, and events, including site selection and preparation.
  • Ensure compliance with local/state/federal regulations within assigned area.
  • Monitor and control resources such as office supplies and equipment needed within the department.
  • Assist with management of the department budget and track expenditures.
  • Analyze results and make recommendations for revisions to objectives and strategies.
  • Take part in or lead special projects as needed.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree and at least 3 years of related work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong attention to accuracy and detail.
  • Excellent knowledge of general office and software applications.
  • Ability to prepare and analyze reports.
  • Excellent organizational skills and strong multi-tasking abilities.
  • High level of customer service.
