About the position

The Part-Time Coordinator II for Professional Development and Educational Services at Lone Star College is responsible for facilitating daily operations within the assigned area. This role includes coordinating support functions such as scheduling, communications, workflows, and staff support, as well as managing budget planning and expenditures. The coordinator acts as a point of contact for internal and external customers, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and maintaining a high level of customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate daily operations of assigned area.
  • Maintain records and current knowledge base of assigned area.
  • Schedule and prioritize work and activities, organizing training materials for staff.
  • Create and submit reports related to assigned area and present findings.
  • Coordinate department and leadership calendars and schedules, planning meetings/seminars/events.
  • Ensure compliance with local/state/federal regulations within assigned area.
  • Monitor and control resources such as office supplies and equipment.
  • Assist with evaluation methods for assigned area and analyze results for recommendations.
  • Update LSCFocus PowerPoint and notes, facilitate training, and manage technology during sessions.
  • Create flyers and email graphics for advertising professional development sessions.
  • Assist with management of the department budget.
  • Participate in or lead special projects as needed.

Requirements

  • Associate degree or higher and at least 3 years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong attention to accuracy and detail.
  • Excellent knowledge of general office and software applications.
  • Ability to prepare and analyze reports.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Strong multi-tasking abilities with the ability to prioritize duties.
  • High level of customer service.
