About the position

The Part-time Coordinator II, Web Design at Lone Star College is responsible for maintaining and managing the web presence of LSC-University Park. This role involves training departmental staff on web content management, scheduling and monitoring digital calendars and signage, and creating graphic content for various platforms. The position requires a commitment to the college's mission and cultural beliefs, emphasizing student focus and community engagement.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain the LSC-University Park webpage
  • Train departmental staff to make minor changes on the LSC-University Park web page
  • Train departmental staff to add events onto the digital calendars
  • Schedule, track and monitor the digital calendars available on the LSC Web
  • Schedule, track and monitor all digital signage (LCD Monitors and Marquee) on campus
  • Create graphic content for all platforms (LCD Monitors, Social Media Posts, Flyers, Posters, Web Banners, Marquee signs)
  • Provide support to end-users for basic web questions/issues
  • Responsible for other reasonable, related duties as assigned

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • At least 5 years of related work experience
  • Proficiency with web content management systems
  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, HTML, Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Familiar with functionality of Twitter, Facebook and other social media sites
  • Ability to work and interact professionally with clients and staff
  • Detail oriented, team player and technologically savvy
  • Must be a fast learner
