About the position

The Part-time Coordinator II, Web Design position at Lone Star College-University Park is responsible for maintaining and managing the college's web presence, specifically the main webpage and all associated sub-pages. This role involves delegating tasks to various departmental staff across the campus to ensure routine web edits are made efficiently. The Coordinator will also be tasked with training departmental staff on how to make minor changes to the web page and add events to the digital calendars. Additionally, the position requires scheduling, tracking, and monitoring the digital calendars available on the LSC website, as well as overseeing all digital signage on campus, including LCD monitors and marquee displays. In this role, the Coordinator will create graphic content for various platforms, including social media posts, flyers, posters, web banners, and marquee signs. Providing support to end-users for basic web-related questions and issues is also a key responsibility. The position may involve other reasonable duties as assigned, contributing to the overall effectiveness of the college's web presence and communication strategies. The ideal candidate will possess a strong proficiency in web content management systems and be skilled in using Adobe Creative Suite, HTML, Microsoft Excel, and Word. Familiarity with social media platforms such as Twitter and Facebook is also essential. The Coordinator must be detail-oriented, a team player, and technologically savvy, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and staff. This position is designed for someone who is a fast learner and can adapt to the dynamic needs of the college's web presence.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain the LSC-University Park webpage
  • Train departmental staff to make minor changes on the LSC-University Park web page
  • Train departmental staff to add events onto the digital calendars
  • Schedule, track and monitor the digital calendars available on the LSC Web
  • Schedule, track and monitor all digital signage (LCD Monitors and Marquee) on campus
  • Create graphic content for all platforms (LCD Monitors, Social Media Posts, Flyers, Posters, Web Banners, Marquee signs)
  • Provide support to end-users for basic web questions/issues
  • Responsible for other reasonable, related duties as assigned

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • At least 5 years of related work experience
  • Proficiency with web content management systems
  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, HTML, Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Familiarity with functionality of Twitter, Facebook and other social media sites
  • Ability to work and interact professionally with clients and staff
  • Detail-oriented, team player, and technologically savvy
  • Must be a fast learner
