About the position

The PT Coordinator III, Business Operations at Lone Star College-University Park is responsible for overseeing daily operations within the Student Accounts & Collections department. This role involves auditing transactions, running reports, ensuring compliance with various regulations, and providing support to students and staff. The coordinator acts as a subject matter expert and is tasked with making process recommendations based on best practices to enhance operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Oversees daily and long-term operations of Student Accounts & Collections.
  • Performs research, compiles information, analyzes data, and designs detailed reports and proposals.
  • Collaborates with and provides ongoing support to University Park students as the point of contact.
  • Maintains up-to-date knowledge of the area and acts as a Subject Matter Expert for collections.
  • Develops, monitors, and maintains spreadsheets, databases, and reports, presenting findings to constituents.
  • Works directly with students, faculty, and staff to resolve issues.
  • Communicates sensitive Student Account information professionally and effectively.
  • Enters, tracks, and maintains various data, including documents and spreadsheets.
  • Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal regulations regarding processes and documentation.
  • Participates in and/or leads special projects as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and at least 1 year of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong attention to accuracy and detail.
  • Excellent computer technology skills, including Microsoft Office and PeopleSoft.
  • Ability to prepare and analyze reports.
  • Excellent organizational skills and strong multi-tasking abilities.
  • High level of customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Excellent analytical skills, business acumen, and strategic thinking.
