About the position

The Part-Time Coordinator III, Business Operations at Lone Star College-University Park is responsible for overseeing daily operations within the Student Accounts & Collections department. This role involves assisting the Business Manager with auditing transactions, ensuring compliance with various regulations, and providing support to students and staff. The Coordinator acts as a Subject Matter Expert, maintains accurate records, and communicates effectively with stakeholders to enhance operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Oversees daily and long-term operations of Student Accounts & Collections.
  • Performs research, compiles information, analyzes data, and designs detailed reports and proposals.
  • Collaborates with and provides ongoing support to University Park students as the point of contact.
  • Develops, monitors, and maintains spreadsheets, databases, and reports, presenting findings to constituents.
  • Works directly with students, faculty, and staff to resolve issues and communicate sensitive information professionally.
  • Enters, tracks, and maintains various data, including documents and spreadsheets.
  • Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal regulations related to assigned processes.
  • Participates in and/or leads special projects as needed.
  • Performs other reasonable related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and at least 1 year of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong attention to accuracy and detail.
  • Excellent computer technology skills, including Microsoft Office and PeopleSoft.
  • Ability to prepare and analyze reports.
  • Excellent organizational skills and strong multi-tasking abilities.
  • High level of customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Excellent analytical skills and business acumen.
