About the position

The Part-Time Coordinator III, Online Compliance at Lone Star College (LSC) is responsible for supporting the operations of compliance in distance education. This role involves conducting research on relevant regulations, preparing necessary documentation for state and federal compliance, and acting as a liaison for internal and external stakeholders. The coordinator will oversee daily operations, maintain compliance records, and contribute to continuous program improvement.

Responsibilities

• Oversees daily and long-term operations of assigned area.
• Maintains up-to-date knowledge of area and acts as a Subject Matter Expert.
• Performs research relevant to area of specialty.
• Develops, monitors, and maintains spreadsheets, databases, and reports.
• Enters, tracks, and maintains various data including documents and spreadsheets.
• Ensures and maintains compliance with local/state/federal regulations.
• Schedules and prioritizes work and activities related to program compliance.
• Creates evaluation methods for assigned area and analyzes results for improvement.
• Coordinates and manages department calendars and schedules.
• Plans and coordinates meetings, seminars, and events.
• Monitors and controls resources such as office supplies and equipment.
• Manages or assists with management of the department budget.
• Participates in or leads special projects as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree and at least 1 year of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience working in higher education or legal environment.
• Strong attention to accuracy and detail.
• Excellent knowledge of general office and software applications.
• Ability to prepare and analyze reports.
• Excellent organizational skills and strong multi-tasking abilities.
• High level of customer service.
• Ability to learn state, federal, international, and campus rules and regulations.
• Strong analytical skills.
