About the position

The Part Time Coordinator of Game Day Operations and Special Events is responsible for overseeing the coordination of all home athletic events at Montgomery County Community College. This role involves managing attendance tracking, facilitating pre-game, halftime, and in-game activities, and assisting with the setup and teardown of facilities during events. The position is part-time and requires working approximately 20-25 hours weekly during the fall and spring semesters, including afternoons, evenings, and weekends.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Director of Athletics to prepare and host home athletic events for all intercollegiate sports.
  • Serve as an on-site contact for visiting teams, officials, athletic trainers, and student workers.
  • Assist in the setup and teardown of all home athletic events.
  • Track attendance at all home athletic events.
  • Communicate with and acquire necessary paperwork from officials and athletic trainers.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma/GED required; associate's degree preferred in a related field.
  • Experience working in athletics.
  • Excellent administrative, oral, written, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in coordinating large on-campus events.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Internet, email, database, spreadsheet, word processing, and presentation software.
