About the position

Geisinger Community Medical Center is seeking a part-time Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to join our team. This position offers the opportunity to work in a Level II trauma center equipped with 14 operating rooms, an EP suite, 4 endoscopy suites, and 2 c-section suites. The ideal candidate will be involved in a diverse range of cases including TEE, MRI, IR, GI, and OB, providing anesthesia care to a varied patient population. The role is designed for those who appreciate a collegial, community-based environment and the use of state-of-the-art equipment. The position requires a commitment of 20 hours per week, with day shifts and 12-hour shifts available. Responsibilities

  • Provide anesthesia care for a diverse patient population in a variety of surgical settings.
  • Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Monitor patients' vital signs and adjust anesthesia levels as necessary during procedures.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of anesthesia care plans.
  • Educate patients and their families about anesthesia procedures and post-operative care.

Requirements

  • Current certification as a Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA).
  • Active Pennsylvania nursing license or eligibility for licensure.
  • Experience in a variety of anesthesia techniques and procedures.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in a Level II trauma center setting.
  • Familiarity with state-of-the-art anesthesia equipment.
