Part Time Custodian & Maintenance (Wastewater Treatment Plant)

About the position

The Part Time Custodian & Maintenance position at the City of South Beloit is essential for supporting the daily operations of the wastewater treatment plant. This role primarily involves custodial duties and maintenance tasks, ensuring the facilities are clean and well-maintained. The position is part-time, typically requiring 20 hours of work per week, and reports directly to the Wastewater Superintendent.

Responsibilities

• Comply with all written safety rules and regulations of the city.
• Clean the wastewater facilities and lift stations, including grass mowing, weeding, and debris pick-up.
• Repair, maintain, and clean bathrooms and facilities.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age upon employment.
• Possess a valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• General knowledge and ability to use materials, equipment, tools, and techniques used in maintenance.

• Experience in landscape maintenance and equipment care preferred.
• Ability to perform physical work under varied weather conditions.
