About the position

The Part-Time Cybersecurity Project Coordinator plays a crucial role in supporting the Cybersecurity Education Program by coordinating special events and projects, managing grant activities, and maintaining the Center of Academic Excellence designation. This position involves event planning, digital content creation, and ensuring effective communication within the program and with the broader community.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate electronic and verbal communication with participants and team members.
  • Maintain projects on Monday.com, MS Teams, and other collaboration tools.
  • Coordinate and maintain project-related data.
  • Identify and define project requirements, scope, objectives, and timelines with the Director.
  • Assist with project budgets and proposals.
  • Develop scope and timelines for marketing needs, both print and digital.
  • Coordinate with Graphics, Web, and Marketing teams to complete project tasks.
  • Drive projects forward to completion and monitor progress.
  • Ensure standards and requirements are met through quality assurance tests.
  • Plan and execute events such as Cyber Camps and career events alongside the Director.
  • Spearhead event marketing and communications.
  • Create PowerPoint presentations tailored to event audiences.
  • Coordinate registrations and communication with attendees pre and post event.
  • Maintain accurate records of all expenditures related to events.
  • Oversee communications and publications, including blog posts and social media content.
  • Manage contractors and work-study students in content production.
  • Develop and maintain an editorial calendar for consistent content production.
  • Optimize content for search engines and social media platforms.
  • Develop effective communication strategies to promote a positive public image.
  • Manage internal communications with university faculty, staff, students, and alumni.
  • Coordinate communications to Cybersecurity students regarding events and opportunities.
  • Assist in grant writing and communication strategies from senior leadership.

Requirements

  • Associate's Degree required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • 2-3 years of administrative support experience required.
  • Proven experience with communications.
  • Experience in web design and content creation.
  • Experience in proofreading and editing.
  • Solid understanding of project coordination principles.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office.
