About the position

The Part-Time Dental Assistant at Stow Orthodontics will support the orthodontic practice by assisting with patient care and office operations. The role involves working in a friendly and welcoming environment, focusing on patient satisfaction and collaboration with staff. The assistant will work every other Monday, and every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday, with expected hours ranging from 24 to 32 per week.

Responsibilities

• Seating patients and ensuring their comfort.
• Taking orthodontic records including impressions, scans, photos, and x-rays.
• Removing and replacing wires, fitting bands, expanders, and habit breakers.
• Setting up for braces on/off appointments.
• Providing hygiene instruction to patients.
• Sterilizing equipment and maintaining a clean treatment area.
• Breaking down and setting up chairs for procedures.
• Managing stocking and inventory of supplies.
• Updating parents on treatment progress.
• Assisting the dentist with patient care.

Requirements

• Prior experience working as an orthodontic assistant (preferred but not required).
• Valid X-Ray Certification (preferred).
• 1 year of dental assisting experience (preferred).
