This position plays a crucial role in ensuring the effective management and organization of digital assets within the university's Digital Asset Management (DAM) system. The successful candidate will be responsible for entering, reviewing, and correcting metadata for both new and existing assets, ensuring consistency and accuracy that enhances the user search experience. This role is vital for maintaining the integrity of the digital asset library and ensuring that all assets are easily findable by end users. In addition to metadata management, the candidate will assist the DAM team in evaluating and creating documentation for user training and system governance. This includes supporting workflows in the project management system, managing user training schedules, and handling asset and license requests. The role also involves assisting with the asset ingestion process, which includes adhering to file naming and organization standards, uploading original and versioned assets, and ensuring that assets progress through administrative review procedures. The position requires research into asset requests within the DAM system and film archives, as well as migrating content from external sources into the DAM. This migration process includes evaluating, organizing, digitizing, tagging, and adding metadata to assets. Finally, the candidate will assist the DAM team in maintaining both current and archival photo and video assets, which includes filing film, likeness releases, and other related assets.
