About the position
The Dog Daycare Attendant at Camp Bow Wow Midland Park is responsible for supervising dogs during playtime, ensuring their safety and well-being, and maintaining a clean and organized environment. This part-time role is ideal for individuals who love dogs and prefer an active job over a desk job. The position requires flexibility in scheduling, including weekends and holidays, and offers training to ensure proper care and management of the dogs.
Responsibilities
- Supervising the dogs during playtime and managing their behavior
- Picking up and cleaning up dog waste
- Cleaning indoor/outdoor play areas, cabins, food bowls, bathrooms, kitchens, etc.
- Escorting dogs from play areas to/from cabins and lobby
- Feeding, watering, and medicating dogs
- Getting to know each dog and their personality/needs
Requirements
- Must be 18 years or older
- Experience in pet care is preferred
- Ability to accept direction and follow procedures
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Flexible and responsible
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with dog training or behavior management
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds occasionally
- Comfortable working in various weather conditions
