About the position

The Part-Time Drafter position at Integrated NW Construction involves creating technical drawings for various construction projects, including piers, docks, and bulkheads. The role requires collaboration with Project Managers to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and accuracy in design.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Project Manager(s) to convert project scope and design sketches into precise technical drawings.
• Develop plans for over-water and shoreline structures (e.g., docks, pier-ramp-float systems, bulkheads) in accordance with project specifications.
• Ensure all drawings comply with 2021 IBC Building Code and WDFW's Hydraulic Code Rules (WAC 220-660).
• Use drafting software (AutoCAD or equivalent) to create, modify, and update technical plans.
• Review drawings with Project Manager(s) to incorporate any changes or modifications required.
• Assist in preparing construction documents required for regulatory approvals.
• Maintain organized files of drawings, revisions, and related project documentation.

Requirements

• Proficiency in drafting software (AutoCAD or similar tools) is required.
• Knowledge of construction practices and drafting standards.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to produce accurate technical drawings.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with Project Manager(s) and team members.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Familiarity with 2021 IBC Building Codes.
• Must be able to perform physical activities such as seeing, hearing, and speaking; bending, standing, climbing, stooping, and walking.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in shoreline or overwater construction projects and relevant codes.
