About the position

The Part-Time Dual Enrollment Credentialed Instructor for Architecture & Interior Design at Miami Dade College is responsible for teaching courses in various modalities, including in-person, online, and blended formats. This role requires candidates to be employed by an authorized MDC Dual Enrollment secondary school partner and to meet specific faculty teaching qualifications. The instructor will engage in curriculum development, student evaluation, and advising, while also participating in committee work and other assigned duties.

Responsibilities

• Teaches lecture sections in Architecture & Interior Design.
• Evaluates and advises students on academic performance.
• Develops curricula for courses offered.
• Recruits students for the program.
• Serves on academic committees as required.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Architecture or a Master's degree with at least 18 graduate semester hours in Architecture and/or Interior Design.
• All educational degrees must be from a regionally accredited institution.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with students and faculty.
• Ability to work well in a multi-ethnic/multi-cultural environment.
• Flexibility to work a schedule that may include evenings and weekends.

Nice-to-haves

• Teaching experience at the college or community college level preferred.
