Part-time ESL Teacher (Spanish Speaking Required)

About the position

This position is a unique opportunity to work intensively with ESL students. You will join a dedicated and mission aligned team of professionals who believe that every student should have high quality, individualized supports. EQA Schools ESL Teachers are responsible for teaching, co-teaching, and tutoring ELL students to ensure student access to the curriculum and build their English language skills. They will translate, modify, and adjust assignments, assessments, and other documents to ensure student success. Collaboration with the team is essential to ensure all ELL students receive the appropriate supports, accommodations, and modifications. Building and leveraging transformative relationships for student growth is a key responsibility, along with constantly developing one's own craft.

Responsibilities

• Teaching, co-teaching, and tutoring ELL students to ensure student access to the curriculum and build their English language skills
• Translating, modifying, and adjusting assignments, assessments, and other documents to ensure student success
• Collaborating with the team to ensure all ELL students receive the appropriate supports, accommodations, and modifications
• Building and leveraging transformative relationships for student growth
• Constantly developing your own craft

Requirements

• Must be comfortable with technology
• 2+ years teaching ELL students with a demonstrated record of raising student achievement
• A BA or BS required
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, relationship building & management skills
• Learning mindset dedicated to effectively and innovatively problem solving and constantly improving
• Passion for improving educational opportunities for urban students and for being a part of a strong, mission-driven team
