About the position
The Part-Time Evening & Weekend Supervisor at Iowa Western is responsible for overseeing the Dr. John & Jean Marshall Wellness Center during evening and weekend hours. This role emphasizes providing high-quality customer service to students, employees, and visitors while managing student and part-time workers. The supervisor ensures the facility operates smoothly and safely, addressing any conflicts and enforcing policies effectively.
Responsibilities
- Provide guidance and support to student employees in the management of the Marshall Wellness Center.
- Provide high-quality customer service to members and guests of the Marshall Wellness Center.
- Communicate and enforce policies and procedures of the Marshall Wellness Center.
- Deescalate situations that involve conflict.
- Document and report incidents and injuries that occur in the Marshall Wellness Center.
- Operate building systems to include computer, lighting, audio/visual and sports equipment systems.
Requirements
- Associate’s Degree required.
- Current CPR/AED and First Aid certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross (or obtained within 60 days of hire).
- Experience in a customer-service related field.
- Experience that demonstrates a commitment to delivering first-rate customer service and exceptional support on a daily basis.
- Experience that demonstrates sensitivity to and an understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, ethnic, and disabled backgrounds of community college students.
