About the position

Continental Services is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Event Operations Driver for part-time work. This role is essential to our events operations team, where the driver will not only transport goods but also embody our brand values and commitment to excellence. The ideal candidate will thrive in a collaborative environment, demonstrating outstanding customer service and a willingness to engage with team members and guests alike. The Event Operations Driver will be responsible for loading, driving, preparing, coordinating, and leading the operations team at various events. This includes ensuring that all necessary items are loaded and ready for events, setting up kitchen equipment, and supporting the overall success of the event. The position requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to following health and food safety requirements throughout all operations. The driver will report directly to the Operations General Manager and will play a crucial role in maintaining the high standards of service that Continental is known for.

Responsibilities

  • Load company vehicles with food, beverage, and equipment for events.
  • Drive to and from events and company buildings.
  • Set up a satellite kitchen for off-premise catering events.
  • Lead all operational aspects of events, ensuring success at the event level.
  • Communicate with Service and Culinary leads to coordinate event operations.
  • Assist in processing and organizing rental glassware, china, and flatware during events.
  • Manage the flow of dirty glassware, china, and flatware to ensure efficiency during events.
  • Report any breakage or damaged equipment to the event lead and direct report.
  • Assist in the return packing of carts from events back to the warehouse.
  • Provide feedback on process improvements to maximize productivity.

Requirements

  • Valid Chauffeur's License required upon hire.
  • Department of Transportation (DOT) certification required upon hire.
  • Associate's Degree in Hospitality or equivalent experience preferred but not required.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Positive attitude and willingness to work with all levels of management.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in event operations or catering services.
  • Familiarity with health and food safety regulations.
