About the position

The Chemical Engineering Program at Youngstown State University is seeking part-time faculty instructors to teach sophomore and junior level chemical engineering courses. The role focuses on planning, organizing, and delivering educational content while providing feedback to promote student success. Instructors will engage with students and university officials to foster a supportive learning environment.

Responsibilities

• Plan and organize course content for sophomore and junior level chemical engineering courses.
• Teach and deliver lectures to students in the chemical engineering program.
• Provide timely feedback to students to promote their academic success.
• Respond promptly to student inquiries and communications.
• Collaborate with departments and university officials using university-provided tools.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field, or
• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering with a Professional Engineering License, or
• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering with prior teaching experience in the relevant course.
• Authorization to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

Nice-to-haves

• Prior experience in teaching undergraduate chemical engineering courses.
