About the position

The Civil and Construction Engineering Technology (CCET) department at Youngstown State University is seeking part-time faculty to teach courses within the Associate of Applied Science (AAS) and Bachelor of Science in Applied Science (BSAS) programs. The role focuses on planning, organizing, and delivering educational content while providing feedback to promote student success. This position is renewable and emphasizes the importance of diversity and cultural sensitivity in teaching.

Responsibilities

• Plan and organize course content for CCET courses.
• Teach CCET courses effectively to promote student learning.
• Provide timely feedback to students to support their success.
• Respond promptly to student inquiries and communications.
• Communicate with students, departments, and university officials using university-provided tools.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering or Civil and Construction Engineering Technology.
• Authorization to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

Nice-to-haves

• Master's Degree in a relevant field.
• Professional Engineers License.
• Three years of relevant US industrial experience.
