About the position

Kennesaw State University is seeking part-time faculty for the Department of Software Engineering & Game Development for the academic year 2024-2025. These positions are on an as-needed, semester-by-semester basis, focusing on teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in Game Development. The rank of the position will be determined at the time of hiring based on the candidate's experience.

Responsibilities

  • Teaching undergraduate and/or graduate courses in Game Development.
  • Assigning teaching responsibilities based on earned degrees and SACSCOC Faculty Credentials Guidelines.

Requirements

  • A minimum of a Master's degree, or the foreign equivalent, in Game Development or a closely related discipline to teach undergraduate courses.
  • A minimum of a Master's degree, or the foreign equivalent, in a non-related discipline with 18 graduate credit hours in Game Development to teach undergraduate courses.
  • A Terminal/Doctorate degree, or the foreign equivalent, in Game Development or a related discipline to teach graduate courses.

Nice-to-haves

  • Previous successful experience teaching game development
  • Experience in releasing a commercial game
