About the position

Kennesaw State University is seeking part-time faculty members for the Department of Software Engineering & Game Development for the academic year 2024-2025. These positions are open rank and will be filled on a semester-by-semester basis, depending on the needs of the department. Faculty will be responsible for teaching undergraduate and/or graduate courses in Game Development, with assignments based on qualifications and SACSCOC Faculty Credentials Guidelines.

Responsibilities

  • Teaching undergraduate and/or graduate courses in Game Development.

Requirements

  • A minimum of a Master's degree, or the foreign equivalent, in Game Development or a closely related discipline to teach undergraduate courses.
  • A minimum of a Master's degree, or the foreign equivalent, in a non-related discipline with 18 graduate credit hours in Game Development to teach undergraduate courses.
  • A Terminal/Doctorate degree, or the foreign equivalent, in Game Development or a related discipline to teach graduate courses.

Nice-to-haves

  • Previous successful experience teaching game development
  • Experience in releasing a commercial game
