About the position

The S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University is seeking a part-time faculty member to teach Public Relations Management and Leadership during the Spring 2025 semester. The role involves developing course materials, conducting classes, and engaging with students to enhance their understanding of public relations management in various organizational contexts.

Responsibilities

• Develop and/or update a class syllabus.
• Order the appropriate books and materials before the first day of classes.
• Prepare for classes and deliver lectures.
• Hold weekly office hours to meet with students.
• Grade student assignments and examinations in a timely manner.
• Submit mid-semester progress reports and final grades according to University regulations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Substantial and relevant professional management experience required.
• Master's degree preferred.
• Prior teaching experience preferred.
