About the position

The S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University is looking for an instructor to teach a course on Public Relations Management and Leadership. This course will cover the responsibilities of managing a public relations department and will apply both historical and current management theories and practices to the public relations function.

Responsibilities

• Teach PRL 424.7 Public Relations Management and Leadership course.
• Prepare course materials and lectures for the Spring 2025 semester.
• Assess and evaluate student performance and provide feedback.
• Engage students in discussions about management theories and practices in public relations.

Requirements

• Experience in public relations management or a related field.
• Strong understanding of management theories and practices.
• Ability to effectively communicate and engage with students.

Nice-to-haves

• Previous teaching experience at the university level.
• Familiarity with current trends in public relations.
