About the position
The Part-Time Fish Factory Outlet Cashier/Clerk position involves assisting customers, operating cash registers, and maintaining the store's merchandise. The role requires a friendly demeanor and the ability to handle various tasks related to stocking and customer service in a retail environment focused on fishing tackle.
Responsibilities
- Greets all customers in a friendly and courteous manner
- Assists in keeping store departments stocked and merchandised
- Accurately receives and prices merchandise
- Checks out customers by operating cash register and bagging of merchandise
- Responsible for the safekeeping of cash registers receipts
- Assists in maintaining general appearance of merchandise
- Moves freight from stockroom to sales floor
- Performs related duties as situations dictate
- Able to lift and carry 50 lbs.
- Some weekend and evening hours
Requirements
- 9th grade completion or equivalent
- Fishing experience and/or tackle knowledge
- Ability to communicate efficiently with customers
- Familiarity with fishing tackle and techniques
- Basic computer skills in Windows environment
- Willingness to learn
