Part-Time Flex Worker: Security Officer - Turlock

About the position

The Flex Team Member position at Blue Diamond Growers offers a part-time opportunity for individuals seeking to balance other commitments while working in a collaborative environment. As a Security Guard, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of company assets and personnel, supporting production and business objectives, and coordinating emergency responses at the Turlock site.

Responsibilities

• Monitor individuals entering and leaving the facility by checking employee badges and issuing visitor/contractor badges.
• Conduct foot patrols as instructed and manage building burglar alarms as required.
• Respond to fire, burglar, and duress alarms, and calls for security and medical assistance.
• Implement the Crisis Management Plan when necessary.
• Conduct and document monthly inspections of fire extinguishers, fire hoses, and automatic fire protection systems.
• Perform routine clerical tasks in accordance with standardized procedures.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 3 years of experience as a security officer, military, or law enforcement.
• Good communication skills and ability to interface with drivers, customers, and others.
• Basic computer and CCTV skills are required.
• Ability to read, interpret, and articulate company policies and instructions.
• Knowledge of crisis management alarms and situations.

Nice-to-haves

• Understanding of HACCP processes and Good Manufacturing Procedures (GMPs).
