About the position

The Float Part Time Pharmacy Technician at Genoa Healthcare plays a crucial role in supporting the pharmacy operations within the mental health and addiction treatment communities. This position involves dispensing medical prescriptions, performing clerical duties, and providing exceptional customer service under the supervision of a registered pharmacist. The technician will work across two locations in Winchester and Front Royal, VA, contributing to a coordinated care team dedicated to improving the lives of individuals with complex health conditions.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service to all consumers and members of the clinic staff
• Fill prescription orders and make them available for verification under direct supervision of the registered pharmacist
• Order, receive, and store incoming pharmacy supplies
• Receive and process wholesaler medication orders
• Verify medication stock and enter data in computer to maintain inventory records
• Assist the Pharmacist in pharmacy functions and compliance with federal and state requirements
• Perform various clerical duties relating to the department
• Communicate with strong professional verbal and written communication skills
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Active and unrestricted Pharmacy Technician license in the state of Virginia
• Access to reliable transportation and valid US driver's license
• Ability to work between the Winchester and Front Royal sites
• Ability to use own car to get to each location

Nice-to-haves

• National Pharmacy Technician Certification
• Pharmacy and prescription data entry experience
• Basic competency with Excel and Teams
