About the position
The Fulfillment Associate at Lowe's plays a crucial role in delivering quality customer service while ensuring the store is clean, safe, and well-stocked. This position involves preparing orders for customers, assisting with loading merchandise, and ensuring timely delivery of products. The associate must engage with customers and staff to ensure accurate product delivery and maintain safety standards while handling merchandise.
Responsibilities
- Deliver quality customer service while maintaining a clean and safe store environment.
- Respond quickly to customer and associate needs in a friendly and professional manner.
- Ensure merchandise is in good condition and accurately accounted for before delivery.
- Pull merchandise safely for loading onto delivery trucks and assist customers and staff in moving merchandise.
- Prepare orders for pick up and replenish shelves for customers.
- Verify invoices against loaded products to ensure accuracy.
- Assist with loading large appliances and other merchandise upon truck arrival.
Requirements
- Ability to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic (addition, subtraction).
- 6 months of experience using a computer for inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information.
- 6 months experience using common retail technology, such as smartphones and tablets.
- Ability to obtain sales-related licensure or registration as required by law.
Nice-to-haves
- 6 months retail experience.
- 6 months of experience in a customer service or product fulfillment position at a home improvement or hardware retailer.
- 6 months experience inspecting, carrying, loading, and unloading products or materials in or out of vehicles.
