About the position

The Fulfillment Associate at Lowe's plays a crucial role in delivering quality customer service by ensuring that merchandise is accurately pulled, prepared, and delivered to customers on time. This position involves engaging with customers and associates, maintaining a clean and stocked store, and ensuring safety while handling merchandise. The associate is responsible for loading products onto delivery trucks and assisting customers with their purchases, particularly in the Pro Department where certification on power equipment is required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver quality customer service while maintaining a clean and safe store environment.
• Respond quickly to customer and associate needs in a friendly and professional manner.
• Ensure merchandise is in good condition and accurately accounted for before delivery.
• Pull merchandise safely for loading onto delivery trucks.
• Assist customers and staff in moving merchandise safely.
• Prepare orders for pick up and replenish shelves for next customers.
• Verify invoices against loaded products to ensure accuracy.
• Ensure deliveries are ready upon truck arrival and assist with loading merchandise, including large appliances.

Requirements

• Ability to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic (addition, subtraction).
• 6 months of experience using a computer, including inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information.
• 6 months experience using common retail technology, such as smart phones and tablets.
• Ability to obtain sales related licensure or registration as may be required by law.

Nice-to-haves

• 6 months retail experience.
• 6 months of experience in a customer service or product fulfillment position at a home improvement or hardware retailer.
• 6 months experience in any industry inspecting, carrying, loading, and unloading product or material in or out of vehicles.
