About the position

Northeast Wisconsin Technical College is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Generative AI Corporate Trainer to join our Corporate Training & Economic Development team. This part-time position is designed for individuals who are passionate about teaching and empowering others through the innovative field of Generative AI. The primary purpose of this role is to design and deliver engaging instruction and assessment that fosters learner success in a corporate environment. The trainer will be responsible for developing custom training plans, planning, preparing, and executing AI strategies through seminars, workshops, and individualized training sessions tailored to the needs of various corporate clients. As a trainer, you will continually improve the quality of learning delivery to support college outcomes and priorities, utilizing evidence-based decision-making. You will work collaboratively with faculty and other college personnel to ensure consistent and quality learning outcomes, preparing employees for success in the workplace. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in AI technologies, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to ongoing professional growth in both training and technical areas. The demand for trainers will be dictated by customer and contract needs, and you will be expected to provide service to the college community exemplified by teamwork and participation in shared leadership activities. This position requires flexibility in scheduling, as hours will vary based on need, and may include evening and weekend hours. The trainer will also be responsible for maintaining accurate student records, advising and supporting students as a mentor, and ensuring a productive and safe learning environment. Candidates must demonstrate a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, and possess the ability to work effectively with a diverse community of college students, faculty, and staff.

Responsibilities

  • Create and adapt comprehensive Generative AI curricula tailored to the needs of various corporate clients.
  • Plan, prepare, and conduct engaging and informative seminars, workshops, and customized training on Generative AI topics.
  • Develop and maintain up-to-date training materials, including training material and online resources.
  • Keep abreast of the latest developments in Generative AI and related technologies to ensure training content remains cutting-edge and relevant.
  • Build relationships with faculty and other college individuals to ensure delivery of consistent, quality learning outcomes.
  • Manage classroom and shop/lab to ensure a productive and safe learning environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in developing and delivering training programs, specifically in Generative AI or similar technologies.
  • Strong understanding of AI principles, machine learning algorithms, and generative models (e.g., GPT, GANs, VAEs).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to nontechnical audiences.
  • Confident and engaging presenter with experience in conducting workshops, seminars, and training sessions.
  • Relevant certifications in AI, machine learning, or related fields.
  • Experience working with corporate clients in various industries.
  • Proficiency in AI-related software tools and platforms.
  • Knowledge of adult learning theory and ability to design, develop, and deliver group training activities and materials to many individual knowledge levels.
