About the position

We are looking for a skilled Graphic Designer to join our client's team. This role is fully based in Edwardsville, Illinois, and is a long-term contract position. The Graphic Designer will work part-time, specifically three days per week on-site. In this position, you will be responsible for creating a variety of graphics tailored for packaging, web, and social media platforms. Your creativity and design skills will play a crucial role in enhancing the visual identity of the brand and ensuring that all graphics align with the company's marketing strategies. As a Graphic Designer, you will develop design concepts for various mediums, including packaging and digital platforms. You will utilize industry-standard software such as Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop to create and edit designs that meet the project specifications. Your responsibilities will also include creating advertisements, banner ads, and brochures aimed at enhancing brand awareness and engaging the target audience. It is essential that all designs adhere to established design controls to maintain consistency and quality across all materials. Collaboration is key in this role, as you will work closely with team members to ensure that all designs are accurate and consistent with the brand's identity. Staying updated with the latest design trends is vital, as you will be expected to incorporate these trends into your work to keep the brand fresh and relevant. You will also need to prioritize and manage multiple projects effectively, ensuring that all work is completed within the specified budget and deadlines. Additionally, you will provide design support and consultation across the organization as needed, showcasing your diverse portfolio that highlights your range of abilities and skillsets.

Responsibilities

• Develop design concepts for packaging, web graphics, and social media graphics
• Use Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop to create and edit designs
• Create advertisements, banner ads, brochures to enhance brand awareness
• Ensure all designs adhere to design controls
• Leverage your skills to create a diverse portfolio showcasing a range of abilities and skillsets
• Collaborate with team members to ensure consistency and accuracy in designs
• Stay updated with the latest design trends and incorporate them into your work
• Work on-site three days a week to collaborate with the team and understand project requirements
• Prioritize and manage multiple projects within design specifications and budget restrictions
• Provide design support and consultation as needed across the organization.

Requirements

• Must possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in the field of graphic design
• MUST have previous experience (3-5+ years) in CPG and Package Design
• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign is required
• Experience in creating advertisements, banner ads, and brochures is preferred
• Should have a strong understanding of brand awareness and how to incorporate it into design work
• Bachelor's degree in graphic design or related field is preferred
• Strong visual design, typographic, color theory and layout skills, and a keen eye for detail
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
• A portfolio of previous work demonstrating your skills and creativity.
