As a Part Time Head Cashier at Lowe's, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service while managing the self-checkout area. Your primary responsibility will be to assist customers at multiple self-checkout registers, ensuring they have a smooth and efficient shopping experience. You will proactively engage with customers, recommend products and services, and ensure that transactions are completed accurately. In addition to managing the self-checkout area, you will be responsible for executing Lowe's customer service policies and procedures. This includes seeking out customers to understand their needs, assisting them in locating and selecting merchandise, and providing knowledgeable responses to their inquiries. You will also be expected to coach and develop other associates, ensuring they are trained in various departmental duties and sales opportunities. Your role will involve using a cash register to process sales transactions, returns, and refunds, as well as providing supervision and support to the Front End Team. You will also be tasked with maintaining the cleanliness and safety of the store. This includes monitoring cash drawers, detecting signs of theft, and ensuring compliance with safety standards. You will prepare the register area at the beginning and end of your shift, inspect returned merchandise, and assist in managing online orders.
