About the position

The position of Health Project Coordinator at Southwest Tennessee Community College is a part-time, grant-funded role focused on enhancing community awareness and participation in health behaviors to mitigate the spread of COVID-19 and similar illnesses. The Coordinator will be responsible for creating, implementing, monitoring, and evaluating programming that educates the community on the causes, transmission, and prevention strategies related to various communicable diseases. This role requires innovative thinking and the ability to engage the community effectively, utilizing relevant pedagogical approaches to foster understanding and participation in health initiatives. As the manager of the program, the Coordinator will compile and analyze data related to the programming efforts, ensuring that outcomes are measurable and aligned with the goals set forth by the funding body. Regular reporting to the funder will be a critical component of this role, necessitating strong organizational and time management skills. The Coordinator will also need to communicate effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders, including students, faculty, and external partners, to promote the program and generate enthusiasm for health initiatives. Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Health professional credential in nursing, allied health, or emergency medical services.
  • Bachelor's degree in a health professional field.
  • Clear background check.
