About the position

The Part Time Holiday Teammate at DICK'S Sporting Goods is responsible for providing excellent customer service and creating an exceptional shopping experience. This role involves engaging with customers, processing transactions, and promoting company programs while adhering to safety and operational procedures. The position emphasizes teamwork and inclusivity, ensuring that all customers and teammates feel welcome and respected.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and proactively approach them to understand their needs.
• Process customer sales transactions and returns according to established procedures.
• Promote company programs such as customer loyalty and warranty sales.
• Adhere to safety, loss prevention, and standard operating procedures.
• Maintain confidentiality of all company information.
• Create an inclusive store environment for teammates and customers.
• Support the team across the store as needed.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by management.

Requirements

• Prior retail sales, cashier, or customer-focused experience preferred.
• Ability to stand, bend, stoop, reach, push, pull and lift items weighing 15 to 35 lbs occasionally (up to 5 times per hour).
• Ability to work extended periods of time (up to 4 hours) standing or walking.
• Ability to perform repetitive motions for short periods of time (up to 2 hours continuously).
