About the position

The Part Time HR Administrator (Payroll + HRIS + Benefits) at Managed Solution LLC is a temporary, part-time role focused on supporting the People & Culture Department. This position is responsible for managing payroll processing, benefits administration, and various HR functions to ensure smooth departmental operations. The role is expected to last from November or December 2024 through August 2025, covering a leave within the department.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize Paylocity for multi-state payroll processing, including bi-weekly payrolls and manual checks.
  • Review employee timesheets for accuracy and process correction requests.
  • Administer the Company's HR Information System (Paylocity) and provide end-user support.
  • Manage Open Enrollment and new-hire benefits tasks, ensuring accurate communication with carriers.
  • Assist with recruiting and onboarding processes, including new hire training and offboarding procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Coordinate employee relations issues and support conflict resolution as needed.
  • Support employee engagement initiatives and culture events.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of HR work at the Generalist level or higher, including 3+ years of experience in benefits and payroll administration.
  • Strong proficiency in California employment laws and regulations.
  • SHRM/HRCI certifications (PHR, SHRM-CP or higher) or payroll professional certification preferred.
  • Experience with reporting/compliance tasks in a company with over 100 employees.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Paylocity and Ease online enrollment tools.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Outlook, and SharePoint.
