The Part-Time Instructor for Interior Design at Central Piedmont Community College is responsible for delivering high-quality instruction in the field of interior design. Responsibilities

• Demonstrate thorough knowledge of interior design and related fields.
• Plan and organize instruction to maximize student learning.
• Employ appropriate teaching strategies to communicate subject matter effectively.
• Modify instructional methods to meet diverse student needs.
• Incorporate technology to enhance the educational experience.
• Establish meaningful learning outcomes for courses and evaluate student performance fairly.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and submit grades on time.
• Post and maintain regular office hours for student advisement and consultation.
• Participate in college, divisional, and program activities, including committee work and graduation ceremonies.

Requirements

• Associate degree in Interior Design or related field.
• One year of industry-related work experience in interior design or a related certification.

Nice-to-haves

• Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or related field.
• Teaching experience in a community college or university setting.
• Two years of professional experience in interior design.
• Experience with software such as Adobe, Revit, AutoCAD, and Sketchup.
