About the position

The Part-Time Instructor of Psychology at Pratt Institute is responsible for teaching courses in the Psychology minor and contributing to the general education core. The role involves delivering classes in various psychology topics, including General Psychology, in a seminar format with a maximum of 22 students. The position is part-time, with the opportunity to teach up to two sections per semester, starting in Spring 2025 or Fall 2025.

Responsibilities

  • Teach courses in the Psychology minor and general education core.
  • Deliver classes in General Psychology and other specified areas.
  • Engage students in writing-intensive seminar discussions.
  • Manage a maximum of 22 students per class.

Requirements

  • PhD in a relevant branch of psychology or advanced PhD student status.
  • Research and teaching experience in Abnormal Psychology, Child and Adolescent Development, or Personality Psychology.
