About the position

The Part Time Intake Referral Coordinator at our Therapy Clinic in Park Ridge, IL, is responsible for managing incoming patient referrals, coordinating benefits verification, and maintaining effective communication with parents regarding their financial responsibilities. This role is crucial in converting referrals into patients and ensuring a smooth intake process for therapy services.

Responsibilities

• Manage incoming patients at the front desk.
• Maintain therapists' caseloads and facilitate communication between therapists and patients.
• Effectively manage incoming referrals to convert them into patients.
• Coordinate benefits verification, pre-certifications, claims follow-ups, and appeals.
• Clearly communicate with parents about their benefits and financial responsibilities.
• Facilitate Early Intervention to in-clinic conversion.

Requirements

• Associates Degree in Medical Billing, Early Childhood Education, Human Services, Speech, Substance Abuse Counseling, Healthcare, or Infant Toddler.
• 2+ years of experience working with EMR Software like Raintree or other EMR systems.
• Must be technology savvy.
• Familiarity with Medical Insurance Terminology is required.
• Knowledge of the IL Early Intervention program is a plus.
• Skills in Medical Claims, Customer Service, Early Intervention, Electronic Medical Records, Office Administration, Interpersonal Communication, and High Level of Accuracy.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Microsoft Office.
