About the position

The Part-Time Interior Designer at Uploft Interior Design is responsible for assisting clients with low to moderate budgets in the Washington DC area. This role focuses on decoration projects, including furniture, artwork, paint, and accents, rather than custom work or renovations. Designers must adapt to Uploft's proprietary methods and excel in client communication, organization, and timely project management.

Responsibilities

• Meeting with clients in person and virtually.
• Using Uploft's proprietary system when working with clients.
• Creating designs, floor plans, and mood boards that are tailored to the clients' tastes.
• Shopping exclusively from online retailers.

Requirements

• Must be based in the Washington DC area with access to a car.
• Has a flexible schedule, including the ability to work on weekends as needed.
• Has at least 3 years of work experience in interior design.
• Has strong oral communication skills.
• Has excellent people skills.
• Is detail-oriented and meticulous in reviewing work.

Nice-to-haves

• Is proficient in Google Suite.
• Has proficiency in floor plan and mood board software.
• Has a 4-year degree.
