About the position

Quad is currently seeking a Part-Time Interior CAD Designer to join our team. This role is essential in transforming design concepts into detailed digital plans using Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software. The Interior CAD Designer will be responsible for creating aesthetically pleasing environments primarily in medical clinics (90%), as well as residential (10%), office, and production areas. This position requires a blend of creativity and technical skills to ensure that all designs meet project specifications, ADA compliance, and life safety guidelines. In this role, you will develop 2D models for various interior spaces, collaborating closely with architects, engineers, and other professionals to ensure the practicality and accuracy of your designs. You will also be responsible for revising and updating designs based on feedback from clients and project stakeholders, providing technical guidance in the use of CAD software, and maintaining a well-organized database of all CAD drawings for future reference. Additionally, you will prepare and present design proposals to clients or project managers, showcasing your designs and ensuring they align with client expectations. Responsibilities

  • Develop 2D models for commercial, medical, and manufacturing interior spaces, ensuring they meet project specifications, ADA, and life safety guidelines.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in CAD software, particularly AutoCAD.
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office suite: Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Ability to create precise and practical designs.
  • Keen eye for detail to ensure designs are accurate and meet industry standards.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration and presentations.
  • Previous experience in interior design or a related field.
