About The Position
The Key Holder at JOANN plays a pivotal role in delivering a premium customer experience, ensuring that every customer feels inspired and welcomed in the store. This position is not just about managing the store; it’s about creating a joyful environment where creativity flourishes. The Key Holder is responsible for driving sales through advanced product knowledge and innovative merchandising techniques, while also ensuring accuracy at the cutting counter. This role involves assisting the Store Management team in leading store team members, providing coaching and support, and performing essential operational duties such as opening and closing the store, ensuring compliance with store policies, and finding creative ways to enhance business performance. In addition to operational responsibilities, the Key Holder is tasked with creating an exceptional in-store experience. This includes engaging with customers, understanding their project needs through open-ended questions, and guiding them to the right products. The Key Holder is expected to maintain high standards on the sales floor, ensuring that shelves are stocked accurately and that the store is clean and inviting. They will also invite customers to participate in store activities and proactively drive sales by building strong relationships with customers and suggesting services that align with their needs. The Key Holder will work closely with Store Management to identify key tasks and assist in delegating them to team members, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively. This role may also involve acting as the Manager on Duty (MOD) when store management is not present, further emphasizing the leadership aspect of the position.
