About the position

The Key Holder at JOANN is responsible for delivering a premium customer experience by inspiring creativity and ensuring that JOANN is a happy place for customers. This role involves driving sales through product knowledge, innovative merchandising, and operational duties, including assisting the Store Management team in leading store team members. The Key Holder creates an exceptional in-store experience by engaging with customers and performing various operational tasks such as opening/closing the store and ensuring compliance with store policies.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a premium customer experience by greeting customers and using the F.A.S.T. service model.
• Engage customers in conversation about their projects and assist them in finding products.
• Process customer transactions efficiently at the cutting counter and cash register.
• Lift and arrange items on shelves and racks, and unload freight from the truck.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization on the sales floor.
• Invite customers to participate in store activities and proactively drive sales through product knowledge.
• Assist leadership in minimizing shrink and ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with Store Management to identify key tasks and assist in delegating them to team members.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ years of supervisory experience in a customer-centric environment.

Nice-to-haves

• 2-3+ years of retail supervisory experience.
