About the position
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Gardener to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in horticulture and landscape maintenance. This part-time role requires a hands-on approach to caring for plants, maintaining gardens, and ensuring the overall health of the landscape. If you enjoy working outdoors and have a knack for nurturing plants, we would love to hear from you.
Responsibilities
- Cultivate and maintain various types of plants in residential & commercial landscape beds.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for planting, pruning, and landscaping tasks.
- Perform landscape installation tasks including moving plant material to correct locations, digging holes and properly planting trees, shrubs and flowers.
- Monitor plant health and growth, perform proper pruning techniques.
- Assist in the design and layout of garden spaces to enhance aesthetic appeal.
- Ensure proper irrigation systems are in place and functioning efficiently.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of gardening tools and equipment.
- Install and maintain annual flower beds & custom potting arrangements.
- Full landscape removal, clean up and new landscape installations.
- Moving & Installing substrates such as mulch, shell and rock.
Requirements
- Strong interest in horticulture and landscape maintenance.
- Ability to work on your feet for extended hours in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to bend, lift, kneel, and work from a ladder.
Nice-to-haves
- Plant knowledge and general concept of outdoor landscape maintenance.
