About the position

The Leasing Agent will be responsible for the day-to-day leasing and marketing operations of the assigned apartment community with the objective of consistently achieving the highest possible occupancy. This position is for our Shipyard property which is located in Wilmington, NC. The role is part-time, requiring 3.5 days a week (24-28 hours weekly), with Monday to Friday hours from 09:00 am to 05:30 pm. Saturdays are required based on occupancy from 10:00 am to 02:00 pm; when Saturday is not required, the agent will work a half-day during the week instead. The Leasing Agent will plan and implement residential leasing promotions based on market research, track and accurately report sales leads and advertising efforts, and present apartments to potential tenants in a compelling manner. The agent will also maintain compliance with all fair housing requirements, ensure property curb appeal and vacancies are maintained to standard, and manage the screening of tenants to lease to excellent residents. Timely rent collection and daily deposits are also part of the responsibilities, along with coordinating timely make-readies with maintenance and managing resident inquiries. The role requires a commitment to achieving the highest level of customer service and a comprehensive understanding of leasing techniques and sales methods.

  • Must be able to pass a background and drug check.
  • Customer service experience of 2 years is required.
  • Apartment leasing experience of 1 year is preferred.

Nice-to-haves

  • Industry experience is a plus, but not required.
