The Communications program in the Harry W. Bass Jr. School of Arts, Humanities, and Technology at The University of Texas at Dallas is seeking well-qualified part-time lecturers for undergraduate courses. The primary focus will be on teaching COMM 1311 and/or COMM 1315 Public Speaking. This position is a renewable appointment, contingent upon a successful review, and involves a teaching load of 1 to 2 courses per semester, ranging from beginning to advanced levels. The courses will primarily be taught at the main campus, although some may be offered at other locations throughout the Metroplex. Classes are scheduled between 8:00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m. and may include various formats such as lectures, laboratories, seminars, and distance education. Applicants are required to submit a cover letter, curriculum vitae, a statement of teaching experience, and contact information for at least three academic or professional references. The review of applications will begin immediately, and official transcripts must be submitted to the Faculty Records Office prior to the first day of employment for those selected to teach at the University.
