About the position

The College of Professional Studies at Northeastern University is seeking a part-time faculty lecturer in Digital Communications & Media. This non-tenure track position involves teaching undergraduate courses in Digital Communication and Media, both on-campus and online. The ideal candidate will possess a growth mindset and innovative skills in current digital communication technologies, contributing to an inclusive educational environment.

Responsibilities

• Teach on-campus and/or online undergraduate courses in Digital Communication and Media.
• Provide student mentoring related to course knowledge application.
• Engage in experiential learning and manage class projects for hands-on learning.
• Deliver weekly lectures with real-world applications to the digital communications field.
• Conduct formative and summative assessments of learners' knowledge and skills using the Canvas online platform.
• Engage in digital media innovations, including analytics and AI applications.

Requirements

• Graduate degree in communications, marketing, business, or a related field.
• 5-7 years of experience in related professional fields.
• Demonstrated experience in digital communications through a personal portfolio.
• Established network and understanding of influencer marketing.
• Experience with learning management systems (LMS), AI, and current digital marketing platforms.
• Certifications and proficiency with campaign measurement tools such as Amazon Marketing, Google Analytics, Hubspot, and Hootsuite.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in teaching at the undergraduate level.
• Familiarity with current trends in digital communications and media.
