About the position

The University of Chicago's Department of Public Health Sciences is seeking a part-time Lecturer to develop and teach a new course on healthcare administration concepts within the Master of Public Health program. This role involves creating course materials and delivering lectures primarily to students in Health Policy and Community Health Promotion Concentrations, with the potential for reappointment in future years.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and teach one section of a course on healthcare administration concepts.
  • Create all course materials with input from the directors of the MPH program.
  • Deliver lectures primarily in the late afternoon or evening for a total of 3 hours, two days a week.
  • Assess student performance through a final project or exam during the tenth week.

Requirements

  • Graduate level degree in a relevant field.
  • Experience in teaching or developing course materials in public health or healthcare administration.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in higher education teaching.
  • Familiarity with public health concepts and healthcare administration.
