About the position

The Part-Time Lecturer in Interior Design at Eastern Michigan University is responsible for teaching various courses within the Interior Design program. This role involves engaging with students, developing course materials, and evaluating student performance, contributing to the academic growth of students in the field of interior design.

Responsibilities

  • Teach courses in the Interior Design program, including software for studio courses and environmental psychology.
  • Meet with students during and outside of scheduled classes to provide support and guidance.
  • Evaluate student performance and provide constructive feedback.
  • Develop syllabi and course materials for assigned courses.
  • Assign and submit grades according to university schedules.
  • Fulfill other departmental duties as needed.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in interior design or a related field.
  • Experience in the course topics such as Sketchup, Revit, Lumion, AutoCad, and Photoshop.
  • Teaching experience is preferred.
  • Ph.D. degree and professional experience in the field are advantageous.
